Pika Pau LITTLE TRAIN as well as all the Pika Pau toys is made out of natural materials only. It contains nine parts which can be removed and replaced: the engine, two wagons, and six elements that can be placed on the wagons as a load. The wheels are spinning so the child can pull it or push it around and by doing that exercise gross motor skills and coordination. While connecting the wagons to the engine the child exercises fine motor skills and problem solving, concentration and patience. Its simple design and visible wood structure brings a child closer to nature in a unique way.

Gross motor skills are movements of large muscles in the body which are important for development of basic movements- walking, running, jumping, jumping over things, hopping and climbing, keeping balance ( head balance, bending, stretching, turning, rolling, dodging and walking on a narrow space), handling materials (throwing, catching, hitting, kicking). The development of gross motor skills at an early age, is the foundation for the development of sports skills later on in life. Fine motor skills are movement involving small hand muscles, including fingers and thumbs. They enable the child to fit small objects together, tie show laces, draws, hold the pencil properly, writes etc. Starting approximately at the age of two it is good to suggest games that involve fine motor skills.
Not suitable for children under 3 years. Beware of small parts.
